At the Council Bluffs Public Library, we endeavor to provide access to our facilities and services to all members of the community. The following services and assistive technologies are available to improve access for library patrons. If you would like to request additional service, please contact us.
Wheel chairs and electronic carts are available for use at the circulation desk on the first floor.
When needed and requested, staff members are available at all service locations to retrieve books and other resources or to perform tasks such as photocopying, lifting heavy books, and retrieving materials from tall shelves.
The library building is designed in accordance with the ADA accessibility guidelines for buildings and facilities. An elevator, adjacent from either service desk, allows access to all public areas of the library.
Assistive technologies are available on both floors of the library to enlarge displays of printed materials. Also, the library has a sizeable collection of large print and audio books located on the first floor.
Delivery of library materials is available for homebound patrons.
