In an effort to better organize the overall borrowing of library materials and become more accommodating to library users, an updated policy was approved for the circulation of library books and materials. These changes go into effect today, August 10.
A few of the highlights for library visitors include:
- Items moved from 1 renewal to 2 renewals allowed. That includes NEW books and materials now! The only items that do not renew are Local Area Passes, board games, and Makerspace items due to limited quantities.
- New users are no longer limited to 4 items at checkout for the first 2 months of having a library card.
- Limits on the number of several items have changed. For example, both video game and DVD limits went up!
Materials checked out prior to August 10th will not fall under the new rules until they have been returned to the library and checked in.
