Discovery Passes Available at your Council Bluffs Public Library!

What is a Discovery Pass? With a valid Council Bluffs Public Library card, a Discovery Pass is your ticket to exploring the following local metro area attractions:

  • Durham Museum
  • Fontenelle Forest
  • Heartland B-Cycle
  • Lauritzen Gardens
  • Omaha Children’s Museum
  • Pottawattamie Conservation Parks

These passes are available all year round at the library and can be checked out with an adult library card. Passes are only available in limited quantities so stop by the front desk or call the Circulation Department by dialing 712-323-7553 and pressing option 2 to find out if a pass is ready and available. Library passes check out for 5 days at a time and can be returned in any of the automatic returns inside the building or in the drive-thru return. Discovery Passes cannot be reserved or placed on hold.

These passes include entrance for 2 adults and children within the same household under the age of 18. The Heartland B-Cycle pass works slightly different in that it allows for free unlimited 1 hour trips on bikes and e-bikes for one person at a time. Other restrictions on passes may apply.

The library’s newest year round pass is the Omaha Children’s Museum Discovery Pass. Give one of these local attractions a try by checking out a pass today!

  • * The library has limited release passes to Omaha’s Henry Doorly Zoo on a limited basis. Please check with the library about zoo pass availability.
