Gardening for Diversity - Session 4 - Planting Day!

May 11, 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm

Hitchcock Nature Center

Perfect for beginning gardeners and anyone who is interested in supporting native plantings in their outdoor spaces, Gardening for Diversity will give you the confidence and background knowledge you need to grow a beautiful native garden that supports local wildlife and provides other great benefits for you and your community!

Help enhance an area at Hitchcock Nature Center with a native pollinator garden! We will turn a lawn grass ditch into a beautiful and beneficial native plant community. During this last workshop, we will discuss how to space and lay out plants and give you plenty of chances to learn how to plant plugs and get a close up look at each species.
**Meet and park at the “moonseed trail head” and walk up to the playground area.

Cost is $15.00 per person per session and covers program materials. Ages 14+ please. Online pre-registration is required as space is limited. For questions not answered online please call 712-545-3283.
