Peter Ertel, a German amateur violinist, becomes a reluctant soldier in Hitler’s army. He then defies overwhelming odds to not only survive WWII, but to become a U.S. Government agent. After immigrating to America in 1953, he worked nearly three decades for a small industrial chemical firm owned by Jewish people.
