International Council for Refugees and Immigrants

The International Council for Refugees and Immigrants (ICRI) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting vulnerable and underserved refugee and immigrant populations. Its mission is to provide immediate, culturally and linguistically appropriate, client-centered services and advocacy.

Designed in direct response to the evolving needs of refugee and immigrant communities, ICRI’s programs empower individuals and families to overcome challenges and achieve lasting stability:

Case Management–
Provides essential services such as cultural orientation, language access, and employment assistance to help clients navigate life in the United States. Wraparound support also includes school enrollment, public benefits assistance, legal guidance, healthcare access, childcare, and food assistance.

Youth Programs–
Offers STEM and reading-focused after-school activities, at-home academic support, workforce development training, and one-on-one mentoring.

Career and Economic Advancement–
Delivers job skills training, English Language Learning (ELL) classes, professional development opportunities, and support for small business development and entrepreneurship.

Health, Mental Health, and Peer Support–
Provides health education, peer support groups, and personalized one-on-one sessions. When higher levels of care are needed, clients are connected to trusted medical and mental health professionals for additional support.

Domestic Violence Awareness and Support–
Offers compassionate, culturally appropriate services for survivors, including emergency housing, mental health care, education, and safety planning. Community workshops further raise awareness and reduce stigma.

Immigration Legal Assistance–
Delivers affordable, high-quality legal support for family reunification, legal status, and citizenship, as well as assistance with asylum, TPS, visas, and work authorization, creating pathways to stability and opportunity.

Refugee Reception and Placement–
Assists newly arrived families in securing safe housing, accessing essential services, and beginning new chapters in the United States with dignity and support.
