To reset your PIN, go to My Account and select "Forgot my PIN." Enter the Library barcode number found on your card.
A recovery link will be emailed to the email address on file in your library account. If you did not receive a link or do not have email address in your account, contact the Circulation Desk at 712-323-7553.
Meeting Rooms are only to be used for meetings or study that support cultural, educational, and or intellectual endeavors that are appropriate for the facilities.
Library cardholders can make advanced reservation requests by filling out the Meeting Room Request Form. Usage of the Meeting Rooms must follow the Meeting Rooms policy in order to be approved.
For questions regarding the Meeting Rooms or to book a Meeting Room without a library card, please contact the Reference Desk.
***For-profit groups (such as businesses and law offices) are charged a nominal fee for meeting rooms that contain equipment:
$30 - Under 3 hours
$45 - Between 3-5 hours
$75 - Over 5 hours***
Makerspace equipment can be checked out by patrons who are 18 years or older at the Reference Desk.
Certain Makerspace equipment requires Certification prior to checkout.
Requests for equipment can be made in advance using the Makerspace Equipment Borrowing Form.
Makerspace Stations can be requested in advance using the Makerspace Station Request Form.
Projects are subject to approval by Makerspace Staff and materials used must fall within the approved materials guidelines.
Suggestions for items to be added to the collection can be made using the Suggest a Title Form.
Suggestions will be taken under consideration following the Library Collection Management Policy.
Interlibrary Loan is available to library card holders in good standing who are:
- Permanent residents of the city of Council Bluffs
- Permanent residents of unincorporated and rural areas of Pottawattamie County
- Permanent residents of cities with a library service contract
- Owners of property in the city of Council Bluffs
- Owners of property in unincorporated and rural areas of Pottawattamie County
- Fee-based card holders
Interlibrary Loan is not available to library card holders who are:
- Iowa Open Access program participants
- Temporary Housing cardholders in transitional, emergency, correctional, temporary or half-way housing
- Unverified Juvenile cardholders
- Accessing services through LIT Accounts
Interlibrary Loan requests can be made using the Suggest a Title Form. Be sure to check the box marked "Don't attempt to purchase. Please just submit an Interlibrary Loan Request for me."
A use fee must be paid to the Council Bluffs Public Library for a one-time only publication of an image from its collection.
Permission must be obtained in writing using the Library Photograph Publication Agreement form prior to use. Credit line must read:
