See the Transcontinental Railroad come to life! Using a pair of 3D glasses and the Union Pacific Museum’s extensive collection of over 500,000 photographs, follow the Construction of the Transcontinental Railroad in 3D while you learn about the challenges, impacts and legacies the railroad had on the people who interacted with it, shaping and building the American West.

Then, see the original 19th century 3D photographic technology in action with a museum replica of a 19th century stereoscope, and take home your very own plastic stereoscope and replica photographs from the museum’s collection!
