Event Details
Are you familiar with the Sir Francis Drake scam and the Iowa man who perpetrated it? Have you heard of the 17-year-old Iowa girl who saved a train full of passengers? Or the Cedar Rapids sisters who became famous by allowing food to be thrown at them while they performed? Did you know the Monuments Men were led by an Iowan?
Join us for this history presentation from Iowa-based Ann Hanigan Kotz where patrons learn about the little-known Iowa residents who made history. They will also participate in an Iowa trivia game where everyone will learn more about our state’s history.
This program is free and open to the public, more suited to an adult audience. Ann will have books available to purchase after the event for those interested.
