Fontenelle Forest encompasses nearly 2,000 acres of forest, prairie, and wetlands along the Missouri River and is one of Nebraska’s oldest conservation organizations and one of the largest private nature centers in the nation.

Day passes to Fontenelle Forest are available to reserve. Passes admit 2 adults and up to 5 children under 18 from the same household. Passes are available on a first come, first serve basis. A printed or digital reservation pass (shown on your device screen) along with your Council Bluffs Library Card are required for entry.

How It Works
  • Council Bluffs Public Library cardholders 18 and older with valid, non-expired cards in good standing may reserve a pass.
  • Museum hours are subject to change, please confirm hours and open dates with the museum website or by phone prior to your visit.
  • A printed or digital pass (shown on your device screen) along with your Council Bluffs Public Library Card is required for entry. Please be sure your pass displays a membership number. An email is required for a digital pass reservation. Printed passes can be reserved at the library front Circulation desk, or from home.
  • If you cannot use your reservation on the date you reserved, call the library at 712-323-7553, option 2. Must be canceled at a minimum 1 day in advance.
