Opera Omaha has given Council Bluffs Public Library complimentary tickets to hand out for the showing of El último sueño de Frida y Diego (The last dream of Frida and Diego) on Sunday May 5, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. at the Orpheum Theater.
The library will be handing out up to two tickets per library card, this allows patrons to attend with another person. A single ticket admits entrance for one person. Tickets can only be redeemed once and are available at the 1st floor Circulation desk while quantities last.
Here's how to qualify for tickets:
- Must have a valid (not expired) library card
- Must be an Adult patron
- Must have fines under $25
About the Production:
By the light of candles, through the fragrance of marigolds, the famous muralist Diego Rivera longs to see his deceased wife Frida Kahlo just once more before he dies. With the pathway back to earth open on Día de los Muertos, Frida and Diego imagine their tumultuous love and passion by journeying through her paintings and memories, blossoming their relationship and exploring the cultivation of their lives.
