Opera Omaha has given Council Bluffs Public Library complimentary tickets to hand out for the showing of The Rake’s Progress on Sunday February 9, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. at the Orpheum Theater.
The library will be handing out up to two tickets per library card, this allows patrons to attend with another person. A single ticket admits entrance for one person. Tickets can only be redeemed once and are available at the 1st floor Circulation desk while quantities last.
Here's how to qualify for tickets:
- Must have a valid (not expired) library card
- Must be an Adult patron
- Must have fines under $25
About the Production:
Embark on a journey through the perils of excess in The Rake’s Progress. This satire depicts the rise and fall of Tom Rakewell, a young man enticed by the promise of wealth and pleasure. Celebrating the 50th year of the iconic production by designer David Hockney, featuring some of the finest singing actors in opera, and with Stravinsky’s genius score at the forefront, join us and find out whether Trulove conquers all.
