Teen Summer Volunteer Opportunity at the Library

Join us in enriching, informing, and empowering our community.

Teen volunteers help with youth and teen programs at the library and Council Bluffs parks in June and July. If you will be in grades 7-12 for the 2025-26 school year, apply to be a Teen Volunteer! Applications will be accepted on the library's website from May 1 to May 31. All accepted volunteers will receive an email from the library no later than Friday, June 2.

Kickoff Training is on June 4 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. in Teen Central. Teen volunteers are expected to attend a fun kickoff training session in Teen Central, on the second floor of the Council Bluffs Public Library.

From June 1 to July 31, you can expect to work approximately 1.5 to 2 hours per shift, up to ten hours throughout the nine-week program, depending on participation numbers.
